Orsini=Amateur Hour

Post by The_RichAlum »

Ole Steve-rino has wasted a month and a half and pinned all our hopes on June Jones. This has to be one of the worst AD jobs I have ever seen.

If Jones wanted this job, he would have taken it immediatley. It was already obvious to him Hawaii couldn't come close to matching the money, so he and his agent are obviously looking for a better deal.

Faced with the prospect of Jones "big-timin" us which is very likely, we will be hard pressed to sign any of the other coaches that were in the mix. SMU looks like damaged goods/coaching death trap and I don't see how Fran, Coker, Bower, or any other coach would take the job if offered after how this process has gone.

Steve would be wise to have contacted a lower tier coach that has not been thrown in the mix at this point so we can move quickly should this thing fall apart.

I hope we get Jones and he is worth all the time and recruiting effort that has been flushed down the toilet. Orsini has been a real disappointment so far. I hope his "all-in" on June is worth it.

RA Stock Tip: Slowly enter the market (if you have been in cash like I have over the past several months) should we see another dip here and go below 13K. Buy SPY (S&P Tracking Index) b/c you can't outperform the market.

Hello? JJ has been coaching an undefeated timew during for the last 10 weeks, while getting a bid to a BCS Bowl Game.

If he wanted it, he would have taken it back then? Are you serious? He would walk out on his time during this incredible run for Hawaii?

I can see why you have posted so little, newbie.

Thanks for the stock tip Now let Orsini finish the deal before you start giving tips. He is a pro. Don't attack yet.

If he wanted it, he would take it today, following the game He knows what has been on the table for weeks. You think he didn't have a good idea where Hawaii would come in versus SMU a week or so ago?

If he is not jumping immediately, then obviously we aren't his first coaching choice. Why would a successful coach who just played in a big game come coach at SMU? get serious? Orsini is overshooting.

You are right. Let's get Bennett back. That worked out well. Of course he is shooting for the stars. And we should be thankful that we finally have an AD who wants to change things. Grab a drink and relax.

I think your analysis is correct. Orsini is either going to look like he gambled and won, or he will look like a big goat. I also think June Jones is slow-playing, but the good thing is there is supposedly the 72-hr deadline.

of course, it was an orchestrated attempt to get more concessions and money out of Hawaii-1)"I'm going to disappear for a week". 2) The nite BEFORE the Sugar Bowl he has a pretty in depth interview with a Honolulu TV station expressing his displeasure with support for the program and 3) his agents makes public statements basically calling out UH to bring an offer to the table. Of course, this is a negotiating ploy-couldn't be more plain. SMU gets him only if Hawaii doesn't respond basically leaving him no choice. I would say if Hawaii offers 1.2 Million or so he's going to stay.

Its 1:50 at the green elephant and Orsini is looking to get laid. Paul Johnson is taken, Neuheisal went home with a Phi Delt and now Steve is hitting on anything that walks. June Jones is the only attractive girl left in the bar.

I think he know where this is going and it is Steve-O sitting by himself at the Pike house going to town on himself.

So, if UH calls his bluff, does JJ come to SMU. And, the real question: Does JJ make a big effort to turn SMU around or does he sit on his paycheck and retire in 4 or 5 years?

So Stallion are you going on record that this is nothing more
than a ploy by JJ & his agent and June Jones has no intentions of coming to SMU?

Yes or No counselor?

If he comes to SMU, of course he makes an effort. Seriously, this guy wants to win and be successful. Craziness you are talking.

Terrible analogy.
