Where are the funds being used to "buy-in" to CUSA coming from?Given how "cash-strapped" the athletic department is, have funds that were to be used for academic departments being siphoned off for the "buy-in" to CUSA?
Peruna is my mascot!
Re: Where are the funds being used to "buy-in" to CUSA coming from?First, what do you care?
Second, if it is going to save the university money in travel expenses in the long run, don't you think the University can come up with the money? Third, believe it or not, there are some people that care enough about the football program to contribute when there is a real need. Notice how we had no problem coming up with the money for the new turf. Fourth, I haven't heard that our athletic department is cash strapped as compared to Tulane or Houston. Fifth, go away troll. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
Re: Where are the funds being used to "buy-in" to CUSA coming from? There's plenty of money. Not an issue.
Re: Where are the funds being used to "buy-in" to CUSA coming from?If money is not an issue, then why doesn't the adminstration renovate Moody? or begin construction on Heritage Hall? or buyout our lousy basketball coache's contract? or hire a new athletic director? Oh wait, the athletic deparment enjoys losing.
Re: Where are the funds being used to "buy-in" to CUSA coming from?Yeah. That is it. You hit the nail on the head. And so does Gerald Ford, the Chairman of the SMU Board of Trustees. That is why he spent $30M of his own money to build a football stadium on campus so that he could enjoy the losing in style.
