Would we compete at Div 1-AA, Div 2 or Div 3??

Given that most of SMU's recruits are not recruited by legitimate Div 1 programs what would be so bad about trying to compete at a lower level? Our games do not draw legitmated Div 1 crowds unless the other team brings 15,000-20,000 fans so would attendance really suffer for "normal" games? Perhaps more SMU alumni would become interested in the program if it won on a consistent basis? :w00t:

I got a better idea-before we give up on Division 1A football why don't we try to play under a Division 1A Model?

I am all for that. The SMU adminstration has to allow our football and basketball team's to compete on a level playing field.
