Seems to me that if he were to refuel, he would do so at his "home" airport.
Maybe he is meeting someone. Of course, it would be tens of thousands cheaper to fly to love and drive to DFW than it would be to land at DFW and pick somebody up and have the plane and pilot fly to Love.
Who knows? Maybe he just needed to come home from Saint Martin for work.
N844GF is a Gulfstream IV which has a range of 4220 miles with 8 passengers and fuel reserve. DFW-HNL is 3784 miles. I would expect that if we were sending a plane to pick up JJ it would not stop in LA. It would go non-stop.
Also, there are 2 flights from HNL to DFW every day that are direct. AA8 and AA102. One arrives at 6am and the other at 8am. The other flight to watch is AA6. It comes to DFW from Maui(OGG). It has an early morning arrival of 5am.
A First Class ticket(round trip) is not that expensive($2700 to $4500 without any SMU discount and the flight is direct. The problem is there are no seats on the commercial flights for the next few days from the islands to DFW.
JJ’s agent is out of Newport Beach:
“Leigh’s firm maintains offices in Newport Beach, California. He resides in Newport Beach with his wife Lucy and their three children.â€

Okay, since you brought up the whole Mike Price thing, here's a little video for you to watch on YouTube you might appreciate. It's a spoof of A Few Good Men. Funny stuff....

Breaking news: N844GF is headed to Linden-Kildare Municipal Airport. Looks like we're gonna have a Bennett after all.
