Will SO pull the plug on JJ?

Post by Charlie NT73 »

The 72 hour time table is approaching, for a answer from JJ.
What happens if JJ does not respond? Will SO pull the offer and
tell JJ that SMU will consider another candidate, or will SO give
in and offer more time for JJ to decide what he wants to do?
For Coker and Franchioni, do you know if any offical offers for
the job been made, or were only informal talks made?
Coker and Frachioni may not be interested any more at
this point in the game, especially with all the JJ/SMU rumors
floating around.

it sounded like there actually wasn't a strict 72 hour deadline. We'll see.

I think you have to draw the line in the sand @ some point very soon.
I would love to know how long SO & LS have been discussing the situation.
I'm sure they have been wheelin & dealin for sometime now behind the scenes.

I really hope this works out. If it doesn't, I feel very good about the former HC's being mentioned as backup plans.

Either way, we win.

I think that Steinberg knows that we need a coach by early next week to hit the recuiting trail. If he asks for a delay, it would mean that Hawaii is trying to come up with a better offer, or we're being played, or he's hoping for an NFL job. To which I hope Orsini replies, "can't do it. I've got Fran and Larry Coker running up a huge room service tab at the Park Cities Inn."

That should help with the room service bill then.

If he does pull the plug on JJ, I hope he turns to Fran since it appears Barnett is totally out of the picture.

I think Fran will have a chip on his shoulder & be determined to make a statement to many of his critics.

Either way, JJ or Fran we win.

Is that place "charge by the hour"?

and if so... what kind of parties are these?

They only had like 25 rooms at $19/room so I rented them all instead of having keg parties at my apartment.

That's one of the places Candy Montgomery and her married boyfriend used to hang out. Before she took an ax to the wife, that is.

Can't work up much of a room service tab there. I guess, that's where they'd stash Mike Price.
