I just have this feeling he stays. If UH comes up with anything reasonable, he stays.

Prediction....1 winning season in 5 years. Gone by 2012. Then SMU drops to the FCS in 2013...wins first of many national championships.

Yes, he currently has the island life, but, our cost of living is easier on the pocket book, and support for his staff and players will sway his wanting to come to SMU. I also think he's ready for a new challenge.
It will be interesting the next couple of days. I hope Steve Orsini has an internal communication system in place to inform the players before the official press conference.

SMU will always play down to the competition. We won't go over .500 after a couple years in I-AA

I think he's just going to use us as leverage.

I also think there are better options [see: our "second choice" candidates]

Up until now, I thought it could only get worse, but Orsini lucked out [or has somehow hidden his brilliance from me] and I'm optimistic. The perpetual Murphy's law finally expired for SMU.
