Indeed. If Jones, doesn't come my list goes to Martz (I think he has the most HUGE UPSIDE, but I admit he also has a negative. To tell the truth I think that Fran would be the safest bet. Pretty sure he would get SMU to 8-4/7-5 pretty quickly and get some pretty steady recruiting classes. I see Martz as the possible Carroll, if he stayed around, however I feel that he has worn out welcome in NFL and would be at SMU for the long run. Especially if he right the ship and turn it into a battleship. His ego (which was mentioned in another thread) would love it. He would prove the football pundits wrong and prove how much of a genius he believes himself to be. Anyone have any idea how interested he is?

Not to worry kids! Lots of flights to the mainland that leave well after any dinner meeting could have happened, including two direct to Dallas. (Of course, if the Tues. booking is true, he may have to connect somewhere)
