Poor biggin/StallionNo interest in this job right chicken dicks? June Jones will never come here? Orsini is a [deleted]? It's a beautiful day to be an SMU fan. We're on the verge of hiring June Jones and the two most chicken dicked posters on this board are proven to be the puds they really are!
Back off Warchild seriously.

Has JJ signed yet? Lets slow down just alittle. But for our sake, we need him to so we don't have to go through another delay.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Hell, I thought Gary Barnett was the right coach for the job. I also thought Glen Mason was actually going to be the hire @ one point. I also think Fran could do just as good as job as JJ. Same with Neu, Bowden, Gill. Having said that, I am very excited that the coaching search is concluding & we can get on with recruiting & spring ball. I support the HC 100% whether its JJ, Fran, Coker, Gill. Its been fun reading all the different opinions of everyone. I hope we carry the enthusiam into the next several years of winning SMU football .
F U - to the little twerp who started this thread. It is obvious that you are still drinking from mommy's t!t. Grow up.
IF - IF June Jones decides to accept SMU's offer, I will admit that I was wrong in thinking he would not come here. It will have been the first time. But my thoughts on the June Jones to SMU theory were echoed by just about every commmentator out there. I will glad and consider it a positive if SMU gets June Jones. But don't forget - the reason we are in this mess now 70 days into the search - is because of the lack of interest. I was right about that, too. You even have published reports that Neuheisal gave SMU the Heisman. Also - don't forget that SMU recruiting year is dead on arrival and a better fit could have been hired a long time ago to start recruiting. Most on here can't see the forest for the trees. ![]()
So in being wrong, you are really right. Sweet. I need to try that trick. (not saying JJ is a done deal)

doesn't care who wins. -- Dwight D. Eisenhower
You are about to be proven wrong on the coach decision, and I would expect Jones to prove you wrong on recruiting in fairly short order. The timing was longer then expected, but that is becasue we were aiming very high - and you would expect strong competition for the coaches we were after. Neu would have come our way had we offered (we did not) and had UCLA not been there (they were) - they were in conversations with him for a long time.
That said, it is an uphill battle for next year. We have half a defense to find.
If SMU does get JJ then hopefully SMU has made concessions on its model (ie, allowing credit hours to transfer to be on a more level playing field in getting Juco and transfer players). I also would like to hear about the so-called Education department SMU has talked about implementing. Bennett said in his press conference that a lot of players want to go into coaching and SMU not having an Education department hurt recruiting. With that said, if SMU hires JJ then it is a big step towards being competitive again and winning. I am getting excited.

Don't count your chickens before they are hatched. No signing on the dotted line as yet. You said the same thing about PJ. They laughed at you then. We still don't have a coach.
