Dale Hansen on the Jones story

Postby planoponyfan » Fri Jan 04, 2008 11:28 pm

Parroting what the DMN said, Hansen reports Jones will be at SMU this weekend to interview for the job and that sources say he's been offered 1.8 million from SMU. He also said that Jones told people in Hawaii that he has not received an offer. Hansen's comment was something like this: "it probably means he wasn't sitting across the table when someone offered it to his agent"

One of the rare times when I agree with what Hansen had to say.

Yes, what you said times ten! I could go into a long diatribe about that guy, but it wouldn't be useful.

I would have taken Hansen over that fool Scott Murray any day. I still prefer WFAA to any other station so we watch Hansen by default. Plus I like that Delkus gives him grief.

BTW, did anyone see Delkus and Hansen and the other guy on WFAA's New Year's Eve thing?

Dale doing a nice of job of being the Mark Mangino of Ch. 8. He's ballooned up nicely.

The Other Guy, I assume, is Gor-Don Keith?

I just wish Oscar would consider getting close to Dale for all the misery he has put on SMU.

amazes me how sorry Gordon Keith is when he is out of the studio. he sucked on that show and his nightshow is abysmal. must have something to do with him not being able to make personal attacks, find trashy news pieces or get away with racially motivated comments.

The only good thing Gordon got in at that show was a couple nice jabs at Dale about his drinking. Other than that, he was abysmal.

Hansen is a blithering idiot. If they end up doing that NYE special again, they have to get some better on air hosts. I felt bad for Pete Delkus.

what do you think he weighs these days-he's a tall guy but he's huge. Seems like he has put on a good 50 pounds in the last year. I'm going with 315.
