don't feel sorry for them yet, they may be the ones who have the last laugh. you have to wonder why jones keeps floating these details don't you? seems like he is trying to rile up support and is definitely leaving the door wide open. and he had to come to dallas to really get them to move. he may sign here in the end, but none of these rumors about letters make it any more likely.

I feel badly for them too. They seem to be a great bunch of fans. Their AD sounds like a first class moron. But the news of a letter gives me more hope for the Mustangs!!

i wonder if too many people over-blame small-school ADs especially as it pertains to coaching pay. hell, if the guy can't get his superiors to help him pay for new paint in the athletic offices, I think its going to be hard to get JJ a huge raise. you can only do what you can and thats it....money at many of these schools is not unlimited...i think fans like to say, "he sucks and he need to get off his butt and give JJ what he wants NOW!" -

honestly, its hard for me to envision an AD not giving a ratts butt and sitting back drinking mambo taxis while his department goes to the crapper.

but we also have to remember that their AD is a GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEE.... is that really the same as a traditional AD. Surely he has a lot more restrictions than most.

He's not a very good plumber. His department leaks a lot of information.

Wouldn't that be any AD at a state university?
