I hadn't really looked at coaches salaries around the country until this whole thing came up. 2 million a year didn't strike me as stunningly high for a coach in college football. I knew it was 4 times what Bennett was making, but I had no idea how far up the coaching list this puts SMU. If it's really 2 million a year, we'll have one of the top ten highest paid coaches in the country. Even the 1.7 million would put us in the top 12. WOW!

Okay, at 2 mill he's #15. At 1.7 mill he's #27. Still pretty far up the list.
