A) Depends on your definition of "best". If you mean it's the best at taking care of employees, you'd be sadly mistaken there my friend.

B) Metal building? Umm, yeah, when you run a company that's life blood is warehouses and shipping and receiving for it's retail stores, you kind of need a LARGE METAL BUILDING.

Thanks big daddy for your completely pointless response.

They brought in 4.2 million from the Georgia game. I am hearing rumors that very little of that money will actually go to the football program... the very program that brought the money in!

I thought that money is distributed throughout the WAC?

Just a question. What does facilities have to do with winning? Going 12-1 is going 12-1, whether you do it in a condo or in a dump. Have you ever been to Penn State and looked at their facilities? Nothing to brag about there. We have the best facilities pound for pound in the nation and can't get to a bowl. IMHO the facilities have nothing to do with it. JJ was ready to go due to nothing else to accomplish there.

In reality facilities have a lot to do with winning. The Warriors coaching staff didn't even have any way to watch DVD's of players. Then JJ won one in a golf tournament and that was what they used. Practice fields had to be cleaned off daily with all kinds of crap, from rocks to glass littering the field. You bring in a top high school recruit and he sees conditions like that... no way he's going to sign.

Showers with no soap... I mean it goes on and on. Yes, JJ rose above all that and was a winning coach there (76-41) but what could he have done with a much better advantage? You put JJ at Texas, USC, LSU, Miami or Nebraska... the guy would win multiple National Championships.

Hell, give yall some soap and video equipment and you might win 13 games?

UH gets most of that money but UH has made it clear that most of "that" money will go somewhere other than athletics. The very department that brought them that money.

I think the issue is that facilities and treating assistant coaches like graduate assistants at best was the straw that broke the camel's back for JJ. Facilities are a selling point just like good coaching, good education, etc. It's not the only thing, but it can be a piece of the puzzle.

And as far as Penn State goes, that program has been kept alive by one Joe Pa. The facilities and administration issues he deals with are minor compared to what Jones has had to put up with the last couple years.

It took 9 years of getting treated like crap? They won 12 games, JJ was selling something. Is the weed that good in Hawaii like they say?
