Sounds like the "Dark Cloud Club" has snared another victim. You have to be strong.

Yes, they could have hammered out major points on Saturday, but without a coach to sit down and sign papers, nothing's going to get done. Seriously think about the time frame that he's been in town. Not very long, and they've got a lot to do in a short time. Plus Steve Orsini's been pretty good about keeping us in the dark this whole time, so I would think he'd continue to do so until a press conference occurs and official word comes out.

We know absolutely nothing about what is going on. For all we know the papers could be signed and SO is waiting the best time to announce. Who knows.

There is a big difference between Petrino's assistants and those of Jones. JJ I would imagine has made his assistants, at least most of them part of the deal. That is what excites me most about this possibility. I am almost as excited about McMackin as I am Jones. I would think Jones spoke with his guys and asked who wanted to come and told them what they could expect in slalary and that has been part of the deal.

Plus we need to let the Search Committee have their say. Please give them 10 minutes to meet with him.

Fran is on standby. When Jones goes back, Fran gets the call and we move on.

Sorry, folks. We're about to get played again.

Too long? He's barely had time to fly back with his team and get back to Dallas. Relax.

I'm only concerned that Hawaii might offer the HC job to McMackin.

If you noticed, McMackin's name was not included in the list that Jones gave to the AD. And McMackin has been quoted as saying he would be with Jones whereever he went.

Way to back track from your statement that I previously quoted, which stated in no uncertain terms "Sorry folks, we're getting played." That comes off as a statement of fact, no matter what the title of the thread is.

Do we know that McMackin came to Dallas? The news shots from Hawaii of JJ in the airport looked as though he was traveling alone.

He's already submitted his resignation to Hawaii. Calm down. Just a matter of time.

I do not think he came. Probably because of the difficulties in scheduling flights. But I think he stays with Jones.

If JJ can't tear himself away from Hawaii...Fran would be a nice "save" by Orsini...provided he can get it done immediately.
