huskerpony makes the most plausible guess. You are right if transfer hours are transferable it has to be by general school policy not just athletics. That's why I was concerning with not getting this resoved BEFORE the coaching search

In fact, it might be less than 50-50 now. I've been told that SMU wants this thing put to bed one way or another by 8 p.m. tonight and they do have a standby candidate -- Coach Fran.
