I'll miss the Singapore chicken. Good stuff. Sorry to hear the place is gone...

La Madeline will soon shutter its doors, too. No great loss, though. Overpriced, overrated.

Bite your tongue. Raplh and I used to go there at 10 pm to get free food. They gave it away instead of throwing it in the trash

Sorry, 94. Their lease was not renewed, either.

I would just like to reiterate that the memorial service for the fallen General should be held at Bone Daddy's.

Hahaha yes it really was Bamba's favourite place to eat...I bumped into him when he was on his way one day a while back (it shut down quite a while back) and I had to break to him the sad news...although I was never a huge fan of General Joes, Bamba was definitely a fan!

No rumor. Fact. The bookstore could very well relocate to Hillcrest Ave in the strip center where Goff's is located.

Varsity Shop (Culwell & Son) is still in biz where it's always been on Hillcrest. The old bookstore shuttered its doors some time ago and has been sitting vacant next door to the former Toddle House/ZuZu's which was recently demolished. It's a good bet that this is where B&N SMU Bookstore will be relocating in the near future.

Hey any of those places were an improvement over Panchos. $1.99 all you could eat Mexican buffet. It was a total Mexican experience complete with Montazuma's revenge after eating there. One of the favorite upperclass pranks was to tell freshman to go there on their first Sunday night and then watch them fight over who got the stalls in the bathroom.
Or remember the Stables. If you didn't see a roach climbing on your table, you worried.
