I will not vomit but I will lose a lot of interest quick regarding SMU football. We have all been very patient with SMU even though most of the fans have abandoned this program. SMU needs this hire to give everyone some hope.

we all knew this 11th hour drama was coming. Im not saying we dont have a chance, but its not a very good one and never was. These things always have a way of turning back toward the home team at the 11th hours. so very predictable and predicted by many on this board.

In this scenario SMU did nothing wrong...it's June's fault if he leaves......

cmon, don't start that. Getting played is what it is. Jones never wanted to leave and we should have figured that out.
SMU has done a lot wrong with this train wreck coaching search....we still do not have a coach.....if this was happening four weeks ago then so be it.....but it is happening in Jan.

Steinberg said Jones arrived in Dallas today with the intent of joining SMU, but those plans have been put on hold.
He hasn't said yes. And he hasn't said no. But he's manipulated the people of Hawaii beautifully.
Personally, since he and the AD haven't been on good terms, this could also be his way of going on the power play to get the AD out of there and have one that he likes. When your school president has to step in, that means your AD is weak.
It happened that way when Roy Williams was at Kansas.

if you dont understand why we couldnt pursue jj 4 weeks ago then you are hopeless
I understand why we could not pursue him 4 weeks ago but why are we waiting around on him? There are several other great coaches that are interested in this job who we could have and should have hired by now. If JJ does not take the SMU job, then SMU is screwed again. No other school put themselves in a corner like SMU is doing.
