Hawaii Fan now an SMU fan!!!

Being from Hawaii I have watched our warriors come from a JV High School football team that couldn't punt a football for more than 30 yards - to witnessing them first hand getting into the BCS. What has happened in Hawaii was nothing short but a miracle. Given our remote location, lack of talent, and our non-supportive University, JJ did it all - by himself. For selfish reasons I wanted him to stay - but after going through some of your pages on this site I found SMU fans to be very entertaining. In fact, I laughed a lot going through your blogs...indeed SMU fans are a class act. After getting to know more about your team, I'm so glad that JJ is going there. You guys deserve it, I know darn well what's it like to cheer for a team that doesn't win, and unfortunately we're gonna suck again (hawaii)! The coaching staff is top notch, especially the defensive coordinater. So the sun will rise in Texas again, and in a short time SMU will be back to where they belong - As Conference USA Champions!

If you don't mind I would love to join this site. I am now a new SMU fan, and I will be cheering for you guys every step of the way! GO SMU!

Welcome! Although, I do hope you guys pick up a decent coach. (And I think they can.) It would be a shame to see your program fall apart.

Welcome! We too are glad to have June, just as you guys were 9 years ago, we are coming off a hard year (decade x2) and are looking forward to a change (any change).

you can post here anytime (not that you need my permission) and try to make it to a game sometime!!! (if that is at all possible!)

Like I mentioned earlier you guys are a class act. Well I'm in California and whole bunch of us are from Hawaii, and a few at a fire department I cannot mention

As we embraced the horror this morning, we all started to do a little research and found out that a tradition of winning and humilty has thrived with SMU. Not to mention we always love the underdogs! So far we have 4 firemen here that are now SMU fans, and I can't wait to hear that willis will throw for 545 yards & 5 touchdowns against Texas Tech...in the first half! We are believers in June Jones, although we're sad that he's gone, I rather see him at a place where the fans appreciate winning and love their football.
