With all the criticism about the big contract (like the NC halftime smart a comment)... just point out to all the haters what we have been paying Phil over the past 6 years and then take JJ's contract, average that over 11 years, and we really aren't breaking the bank at all. we saved a lot of money with Phil, so it all comes out in the wash!

any pub is good pub. when was the last time we were mentioned in the middle of a BCS game? my guess is never. i may be wrong though.

SMU, the same lowly 1-11 SMU that has had one winning season since '89, just signed a coach that went 12-1 and played in the Sugar Bowl against what many consider the best team in the country. i know it took a while to get hawai'i there, but i believe we're closer than they were when he took over on the island. if we get anywhere CLOSE to 15th in the BCS and have a Heisman candidate, have you given any thought to that feeling? I'm not saying we will, but that is a WOW in my book.
