You're right. We do have our 1-11 coach. And we still have the same offense that lit SMU up for 601 passing yards...but fired the tool that allowed that pathetic excuse of a SMU offense to outscore us. I'll take my chances. And the whole "we're 1-0 against NTSU" argument is convincing...until you remember that in the last decade you are a big whopping 1-1 against lil' ol' NTSU. But please, pretty please, bring up the all-time record for my entertainment and prove just how far back you STILL have to reach for glory...or at least how far into the bank account you have to reach.

You guys, on the other hand, are having a [deleted] everytime anyone outside of Highland Park gives you accolades for doing ANYTHING...even if the prevailing public opinion is that June Jones was smart to take that kind of money, though not so smart to go to SMU. It's cool though. Continue deluding yourselves into believing that SMU can do what Hawaii did. The whole "If he could do it there, think what he could do at SMU" argument is cute until you remember that, outside of ponyfans.com, you're a punch line...now a punch line with a rich coach though. Tulsa didn't cease to exist when JJ was hired, nor did Houston, or UCF, or Southern Miss. So your "SMU is committed to being top 25" notion had better leave room for a new polling system...one where having about 3-4 sure losses isn't a problem.

I don't expect a real response. Tell me to deliver a pizza. Tell me to clean your toilets. Hell, I think the fast food employee garbage is due for a retread. Do ANYTHING you can not to talk about football...because even today, on the happiest day SMU has had in the past 2 decades, football is a subject left reserved for anyone else.

It is so odd to me how someone from another school wants to spend so much time on a message board of another school. The National Championship Game is on go watch it. CSI is on. The Discovery Channel is showing Americas Loch Ness monster. I question my own coolness after I have spent 30 minutes on a message board and I believe I have a pretty good excuse being that we just hired a new coach. Go do something constructive.

It's because you guys are the kind of humor you can't pay for (no pun intended). SMU fans and their delusions about their place in the world are like that kid from high school was always 2 months late on all of the fads and then wore them out because he thought they were still cool. You don't want to tell him how sad he is (well most don't...I rather enjoy it) because just watching him brightens your day. Sorta like a special olympian...you guys try so hard.

Your arguments hold no weight because of who you are. If you were from UT, Tech or even freaking A&M, I'd say you might have some validity, but you are from NTSU! One of the few football programs in the country that we can unequivocally claim superiority over.

Of all things you are bashing the fact that we can come up with enough money to pay the 16th highest salary in the country? How is that a bad thing? Am I supposed to feel bad that the alumni of this great school are civic and national leaders and can support the school and our endeavors to be the best?

Is this guy serious? Everybody I know from TX, TAM, Tech and etc. have been calling me saying what a great coach we got. Even a couple from NTSU. This guy is clueless. How many time has SMU pounded NTSU over the years, like over 26 times to 3 or 4 I think. Growing up NTSU was not even a 4 year university and still is just a commuter school. Ha Ha, talk about a complex.

Emmitt obviously loves the attention on this board. If unt only got half the attention emmitt recieves, someone outside our State might know who they are. unt has been an afterthought even locally for as long as I can remember. It's just a little art school way out in Denton. Is Denton even considered local?
