Next Year's Season Ticket Prices

Post by SMU Football Blog »

I am staring at the sheet handed to me as I left the press conference that lists season ticket pricing for next year. If I read this right, prices aren't going up, they are going down substantially if you are a Mustang Club member.

It looks like they are aggresively marketing season tickets and trying to induce you to join the Mustang Club. I don't know what level you have to be to get the Mustang Club prices.

Here are the prices. I left off the suite prices. I apologize for the look of the table, but it is hard to post tables in a message board.

Location :::::::::::::::Day of Game::Season Tix Price::Mustang Club Price
Stadium Club ::::::::::::N/A:::::::::::::$540.00:::::::::::::$500.00
Mustang Club Sideline::N/A:::::::::::::$150.00:::::::::::::$50.00
Sideline Reserved:::::::$24.00:::::::::$120.00:::::::::::::$30.00
Family Section:::::::::::$14.00:::::::::$72.00:::::::::::::::$0.00
End Zone Reserved::::$14.00:::::::::$72.00:::::::::::::::$0.00

The "Mustang Club Price" column is the donation to the Mustang Club that you must make to get the ticket price in the left column. So, it's $200 for near-50 seats and $150 for seats further out in the reserved sections.

So the "Stadium Club" ticks cost you $1040?

What's the stadium club? I sit in the oh so elite Mustang Band Club Seats.

The Stadium Club is that area behind the glass on the press box side.

They must have lowered the minimum amount for MC membership, because it use to be $50 except for specials for new grads.

And if your a new grad than there is no excuse...it is half price off the seats...so those Mustang Club Sideline are really total $125 ($75 seats / $50 donation)

This is apparently still in the development stages. I may be getting a call from a ticketing rep today. Should that I happen, I will let you know.

But it also understand that could be something to do with Personal Seat License and how that affects your donation to the Mustang Club.

Yes, you get to sit inside, out of the elements. And yes, they serve booze, although you have to buy a membership on top of your Mustang Club donation and tickets.

You also get served a catered meal that some weeks is very good, depending on which local restaurant is serving, and some weeks bad, especially when they use the in-house catering service.

I've sat up there a few times, thanks to friends and family. You lose some of the atmosphere of the game, but you also don't have to fight the elements or the infamous Ford Stadium concession stands.

I wouldn't mind sitting in the stadium club on occasion but think it is better to be out among the crowd and feel the atmosphere...specially if we actually start getting a crowd
