On behalf of the stuffy old timers, thank you.
sorry about that. but i get hostile at times and i know that older fans can get, understandably, annoyed by smartass talk. i just don't want to power them down. my Dad, an early 70s Smoo grad, gets beaten down with me at times....

as an un-stuffy young timer, the Stadium Club is sweet. No lines, decent food, bar and tv's with other games playing. Not a bad deal either. I guess I will re-up for next year. Opps, there's Bob Sharpe on my caller id as we speak.....

I tried the club scene at Texas Stadium and could not enjoy the game. I like the open area of seating much better. (Also, the Stadium Club frowned on my insistence of Jtstang sitting in one of my seats.)

Well now...could you blame them?
I've never been privileged to sit in the stadium club for a game, but remember Bus moving out because the other clubers were not happy with his screaming. I too prefer being out in the open air in the middle of the screaming fans...much more fun.

IF, you want to get into the game and yell when we score a touchdown.... the Club Section is not for you.
Most clap their hands quietly upon scoring.
Please be quiet and do not wake the babies or scare the older women.
REALLY.

Of course, BUS, your yelling wakes unborn babies.
Hopefully we can get crowds big enough and loud enough that the coaches can not hear us talking to them during the games any more.

Anyone get in touch with Bob Sharpe and confirm these prices? Last year there was staggered donation amounts needed for various sections even on the reserved sidelines....they are getting rid of all of that?

Every time I've looked up there after a big play, I've only seen people sitting down. I think I've seen a few high fives up there since Ford opened, but I could be wrong. I prefer to brave the elements and be able to yell without being the only one doing so. (Guess maybe I should have picked a different team to follow, huh?)

I'm just the poor soul who sits outside and occasionally has had to beg the alumni band to play a section over because the baby was sleeping. The good news is that now both kids are old enough to watch the games... mostly.

Stadium Club required $1,000 per year last year or the year before, so they did slash that cost.
I HATE the University of Texas!

Has the 2008 schedule been released? If so, would someone post a link to it? I know that Houston and Tulsa are coming to town + @ UTEP, @ Rice, @ Tulane. It should be a pretty favorable schedule with the harder teams at Ford Stadium and the "easier" ones on the road. However, UTEP is usually a challenge on the road.
