I really am so used to disappointment, that this was almost too much to handle.

And just think how excited those of us are who weren't tied to SMU back in those days, so all we're used to seeing is the doldrums we're in today. I was in elementary school at that time and didn't even live in Texas, so SMU wasn't even on my radar screen back then.
