that June Jones is a much better hire than Paul Johnson would have been?

Jones seems to have recruits' attention whereas Johnson made a lot of people nervous.

They are both "system" guys and great offensive coaches, but let's be thankful that Jones was the guy instead of Johnson.

The funny thing was that I was going to slight disagree with you, because I became enamored of Johnson. I was going to say "a better hire".... BUT - the more I thought about it, I think it probably is "a much better hire".

Regardless of who the better coach is, and we could debate that....

- Jones runs a style of offense that players want to play in.
- Jones runs that offense better than anyone.
- Jones runs an offense that puts fans in the stands.
- Jones runs an offense that puts points on the board.
- More points even more fans.
- Jones just took his team from an island in the middle of the Pacific to a BCS bowl.
- Jones just molded his journeyman QB into a Heisman finalist.
- Jones just lead his team to the undefeated regular season in the Bowl Subdivision.
