That would be great if they do. Of course, they told Coach Bennett they'd come watch his games, too. Only time I ever remember seeing anyone from the Hardline in the pressbox was when Williams scored a media credential to come cheer for TCU.

Winning will get SMU the proper media attention and respect. SMU deserved to be 'ripped on' for the lack of commitment to the program. It is amazing all the local and national positive attention SMU has gotten from the JJ hire.
Question: what happened to Greg Williams on the Ticket? Did he quit, get fired, etc?

Rumor has it that he went on a drug bender (not sure if it was prescription drugs or the harder variety). Doubt he comes back because this affected his work, and it was apparently not the first time.

I knew he was addicted to prescription pain killers. He has been in rehab in the past for his addiction and even talked about it on the air.

Observer said Greggo ain't coming back. Ticket doesn't want him back. He sent the ticket a cease and desist letter threatening legal action if they continued to use his likeness in promotions or play drops with his voice on them. That is why you never hear his drops anymore.

the big announcement is that Norm will do a "June Jones Show" each week when football starts. Well, maybe that's not it, but that would be pretty cool.

Greggo is joining Norm's show..........
Nah, probably it is a misdirection. I doubt they would announce Hammer's official departure during Norm's show. It's probably announcing some special guest for Ticketstock in February..............

The Hammer is gone. There is currently a legal battle going on behind the scenes. They cannot mention him by name or use his drops. Rhyner spoke about it about 2 weeks ago. The Observer website has a few articles about it. Go there and search for Gregg Williams. I'm too lazy to go back and find the links. Either way, he's gone.
But I am looking forward to seeing what the announcement is at 11:10am tomorrow.

yeah i get tired of them at times as well. (too many North Texas community college grads for starters and also too many TCU/UNT/UTA spares that want to come off as "football elitists") they are full of themselves at times.
i would be willing to bet that greggo's departure will be the begininng of the end of the Ticket as we know it.
too bad ESPN missed their chance to pair Greggo with that idiot Galloway...the definitely would have taken some ratings from the little ticket.
