Do we have any reason to believe we have a chance tonight? UTEP has looked impressive this season. We've lost 8 straight against them.
Anybody got any inside information on a star player maybe being hurt or something?
In a related question...should any of us watch this season or should we get ready for the Red-Blue game? I really expected a better showing at CU. Oh well.

By all means - come out to Moody at 7 PM Friday and 2 PM Sunday to see the women (the team with 10 wins already this season). Be there and be loud, and Coach Rompola can win her 300th game Sunday ON NATIONAL TV.
Rise up, Mustang Nation!
Go SMU!

There's always a chance, some are more slight than others. Their whole starting line-up could eat some bad food and be out, or figuring tonights game was a breather-went out drinking last night, or get into foul trouble early.

If SMU plays hard for 40 minutes and Derrick Roberts plays to his capability then SMU certainly has a good chance to win. As I've mentioned before, SMU's fortunes this season are tied to Derrick. John K. is fairly consistent and you know what to expect from Bamba. Freshmen are always a wild card, but you absolutely need your seniors to step up for every minute that they are on the floor each game.

Yeah, consistently bad. This team becomes infinitely better when Killen plays his last game. I wish the point guard of the future was getting starter minutes and Killen was starting his coaching career.

We'll do everything we can to take the air out of the ball and keep it as low scoring a game as possible, similar to what we did against Houston last year at Moody. If the score stays low, then we should keep it reasonably close. So, I would say yes there is a chance we wont get blown out. If UTEP can push the tempo, we will be in trouble.
Try not to choke on the Kool-Aid.

When can we start using the JUNE JONES MODEL for SMU Basketball. Doherty used the JUNE JONES MODEL almost exclusively at Eastern Florida Central.
