Mallett transfering; Texas A&M a possibility
Michigan loses both star receivers to NFL draft.
FROM WIRE REPORTS
Thursday, January 10, 2008
ANN ARBOR, Mich.  Former Texas Class 4A offensive player of the year Ryan Mallett has left the Michigan football program and will visit as many as five schools, possibly including Texas A&M, before deciding where to transfer. He'll have to sit out the 2008 season.
Tennessee, Arkansas and UCLA are other schools Mallett will seriously consider, according to his father, Jim Mallett. SMU, with new coach June Jones and his pass-happy offense, might be a long-shot candidate.

He's not Bomar-- he'll sit out for the DI opportunity.

If this happens, and I know this is a HUGEEEEEEEEEEE if, I will go out on a limb and predict Mallett the winner of the 2010 Heisman, we go to a BCS bowl in 2010, etc. etc. etc.

Doubt it would have mattered. Stafford's heart was set on going to GA. Similar situation as Craig James had when he came to SMU.

You're telling me Stafford went to UGA for a girl?! Wow I didn't know that. Talk about lame. However its looking like it was a pretty smart football decision too. Georgia is going to be nasty next season.
Back off Warchild seriously.

yea and I don't think they're dating anymore.
Regarding MI, are these guys transferring because they don't want to or can't play in Rich Rodriguez's offense? Maybe similar to PJ's offense at Ga Tech. Their offenses have a lot of similarities. Stallion should be howling at this, of course, if you saw WVA's offense decimate Oklahoma's D, you'd be willing to take the losses

With Mallett there is no question he is transferring b/c of the offensive scheme RR will bring to Michigan. Mallett is a classic drop-back passer who has virtually zero mobility. He reminds me a lot of a young Drew Bledsoe at Washington State. Also, it was reported that RR did not exactly make an enthusiastic effort to keep Mallett in the fold.
Back off Warchild seriously.

You just labeled Craig James as 'lame', too, by that statement.
