all things pass

Post by AtillatheCoog »

I know this is a terrible time for SMU fans. We went through the same thing year before last and now we are bowl eligible. The same thing will happen for you. You must not get discouraged, stand firm behind Bennett for a year or two more.
I might schedule a lot of Sunbelt home games if I were SMU, at least for now. Hell, K-State makes a living doing that and you need the wins. How does SMU basketball look heading into CUSA?

As I will be on the drums.
Oh you gotta love it. The horns, the drums, the noise! It's all for the love of music, for the love of the game.

Atilla, check out the threads under the basketball board for some insights. Bottom line, it is looking very promising.

Appreciate the kind words, Coog. Unfortunately, the Sunbelt OOC games are not for us, if we have any dreams of remaining 1-A. We need all the Raider Red in Ford we can get.

We need to do the sunblet thing - we are just trading full seats in the begining of the season for empty ones later - if we can get some momentum with some wins - then later in the season they will be our fans and we will start building a following (look to the west for an example - their attendance was worse then ours when they were losing everything). The Big 12 thing is not working - it is one of the few moves of Copelands I think is wrong - lets try it for a year or two and then build up the schedule.
