Supposedly, somebody saw Jones in Hawaii yesterday wearing an SMU hat. A lot of the message board people over there are PO'd

The 'true' sign of JJ's success at SMU and the school's return to the football 'spotlight' will be when SMU apparel is available for purchase at sporting goods stores in Hawaii. Kind of like finding OU, LSU, Notre Dame, etc. apparel in Dallas sporting goods stores.

I would imagine there would be demand for SMU gear as in seeing posts here and in other media from UH fans, you have many converts that will be Pony fans for Jones.

I would imagine he did it to make them mad at him. It is much easier to leave a place with them cursing you then to have them begging you to stay.

June Jones isn't trying to [deleted] anyone off. Remember he's on the first plane back to the islands when he's done here. He said so himself several times in the press conference how he loves Hawaii and plans to return.
