My suggestion is to send the whole staff on a field trip to another big-time college game, say UT or or Oklahoma, and get ideas from them. I'm not talking about traditions, but gametime experience - how security greets you at the gate, what you are and are not allowed to bring into the stadium, audio and visual from the scoreboard, the way advertisements are delivered (i.e. do other schools read ads over the PA system? I know that U. of Washington does not), canned vs. live music (i.e. what type and when it is played), etc.

Make the experience as enjoyable as it is to attend other games. People shouldn't be taking home memories of how the game experience sucked, they should be taking home memories of how the game itself sucked.
It's a crappy job but someone's gotta do it.

They frisk you before you can enter the stadium for NFL games in Dallas and St. Louis (and probably every other NFL game there is!). Maybe we could hire bikini clad girls to do the frisking? 8)

I am sure Orsini knows all about it from his Notre Dame
days, but yeah it would be a good learning experience for them to
see it in person.

Here's an idea.....after warm ups and before kickoff.....take kids
on a quick tour of the field.....that would be a "wow" moment
for them....Monday morning back in grade school class it
would be "Johnny...guess what?...I got to go down on the
field at SMU before kickoff!"
