JJ stated that E.D. made another difference in this whole thing. Just a new thread, but E. D. put SMU on the map again. Congrats to Eric. Thanks Eric. I would like your autograph.

He may have had a hand in selecting our new coach, but he hasn't had much to say publicly that reflects on SMU in a good way in several years. In my opinion, he has burned some bridges around here.

Do any of you remember a few years, I think it was against Nevada, when a group of students put a message on the top of the stadium in tape that said "E.D. SUCKS"?

I would like to see his name attached to the program more. Like him or not, for whatever reason -- he is a big name and we should utilize that as much as possible.

I think he did more than most of us on PF.com to put SMU on top in the 80's. If he had issues with SMU/NCAA thats OK. Who wouldn't.

Just my speculative opinion, but I think E.D. feels some guilt about that death penalty thing. Probably feels his presence brings that back up everytime he's around. I say now with the apparant new direction of the program is the time to make amends and show some love to E.D. and bring him back into the fold. Of course I could be wrong.....
