I am a new SMU fan and was wondering which local Dallas newspapers online give the best coverage of the SMU football team. Thanks.

On a serious note,

It is The Dallas Morning News www.dallasnews.com. You can find SMU coverage in the colleges section of sports.

Kate Hairopolous is the beat writer and for the most part, has done good work. Thought she covered the June Jones angle very well.

Hey Jalgeri. We honestly haven't gotten much love from the local papers in the past years - it's all UT coverage about 80% of the time. Hopefully that might change in the next year with JJ. We usually get a paragraph about 1 inch.

The coverage of the hire in the Dallas Morning News was pretty substanial with 2 full pages though

Ok now that I've quit laughing. You can also check out http://www.smudailycampus.com for updates as well. Then we have local rags that will have an article every so often, but someone on here usually finds those and posts a link to them.

The local media gave SMU the appropriate attention it deserved. The June Jones hire will change that temporarily. It will be up to the team to make sure that it stays in the media.
