Though they could sell tickets to sit on the grass...now that would be cool
I thought Ford was as high as it could be do to UP height restrictions
I would assume the top of the pressbox is the maximum height, so the rest of the stadium has some space left. I agree that even considering another deck is a long time off.
Winning cures cancer. If we get to the point where we need another deck, the UP town council just might change their mind. I personally don't want decking, but I love p'ing off the cranky UP residents who fought the stadium.
I bet if the Bush library wants to get something done, the heavily pro-Bush UP residents will let them do it. Maybe that's a way to sneak something past them for the stadium - whatever variances and allowances made for the Bush library should be written so that they can be applied to the stadium as well.
Oh well, we're a long way from needing any of this. It's nice to daydream.

I gaurantee the press box involved a zoning variance. WAY taller than everything around it. When I was on top of the press box I could see I30.

UP may not be happy with the height right now, but I do know that when the stadium was built, they kept the expansion possibility open. So, that said, it COULD be expanded, if and when the situation calls for it.
To use a golf analogy, when you first start playing and shoot 100, you don't improve 1 shot at a time. Your improvements come in clusters. The next time out you may shoot 96, then 91. A realitic goal needs to be set for next year, like average 24K. The next year it would be increased. Hopefully in a few years we start getting sellouts.
As far as bowling the whole thing in, NO!! During night games, it is really cool, in my opinion, when you can see downtown lit up. If I remember correctly, they even portrayed that in one of the versions of ES Sports NCAA football.

I do not think expansion will come based on average. It would come based on season ticket sales. Not only a huge increase but a history of renewals at that increased level. We have a tremendous way to go before expansion, championships, winning seasons and bowl games can come into vision. The talk is fun but realistically, I will be happy if next year we could repeat this year, only win the games that we lost on the final plays.

Realism is finally getting back to the board... oh no

Is the Ms. Baird's property in UP or in Dallas? I think it is in Dallas, and would be a nice place to build a gigantic, red and blue, phallic shaped building way, way taller than everything in UP as a giant FU to their zoning regulations.
