Unreal...what started as a "MLK / Dream" thread, post some of your SMU fball dreams, turns into some weird [deleted] racial stereo-types / self righteous pile of Peruna's dung...love it, thanks guys for absolutely confirming the mentality of this board.

Unfrikin believable, since we can't argue that JJ isn't coming to SMU, or that we won't get any recruits.....it's come to this?

I wonder which part of this thread a potential recruit will find more offensive - a confederate flag on the moon or taking the most famous lines of MLK and marginalizing them with football. What's next?

not marginalizing by a long shot-not a dog fight about the Confederate battle flag-not First Ammendment rights...

just hoping that one day folks at such polar opposites over issues/models/recruiting/inclusion/race will be able to find a place of agreement...if not them, then their kids. Tongue also firmly planted into cheek regarding the relevancy of football to Dr. King's work.

couch 'em, if you were offended, you have my sincere apology.

The only thing that flag represents to me is losers. How'd that Civil War work out for you, buddy?

The moral of that story: It's not how you start. It's how you finish!!

Long live the great William Tecumseh Sherman!!!

General, remember your namesake's family fought for the Stars and Bars..
BTW, on my honeymoon in 1987 my wife and I went by to tour an 18th century Anglican church near Sea Island, Georgia. The verger at the church was a wonderful 'ol southern 80-something that dripped courtesy, history and molasses in her description as we toured the church...until we got to the issue of the steeple..seems some of W T Sherman's artillery took a practice shot that knocked it off on the way through Georgia. This fine lady let out an oath ( outside the church, mind you ) that would have made a Cowboy fan tonight proud.

Believe me, it takes a lot to offend me. I was just pointing out the hypocrisy of this thread.
