SMU is stomping Southern Miss 62-41 with 13.57 to go in the second half. The girls are getting it done VERY impressively!

Absolutely astonished that USM had a girl foul out IN THE FIRST HALF. Has anyone else ever seen that happen? I enjoyed making fun of her when she warmed up for the second half. He started laughing as I was yelling...

Ladies played hard, and despite letting the monster lead slip a little bit at the end, ended pretty good.

Congrats to Rhonda on No. 300. Heard she got pretty emotional in the locker room.

We are now 12-4 and 2-1.

Game was never in doubt about midway through the first half. They controlled the tempo very well.

*The break with outlets to Delisha Wills was exceptional. She was solid with about 17 points and didn't play the final 7-8 minutes.

*Janielle Dodds was much more aggressive around the basket.

*Guard play is very solid with Samuells and Hill. Just watch Hill. She is so fast. And the thing is that she handle backcourt pressure and dribble through double teams. Passing in the low post is great. When she gets a little older and stronger, you may see one of the best guards to ever come through Rhonda's program.

This is the team that we should be seeing and not the knucklehead performance they had last week at Tulsa. Important roadtrip coming up at East Carolina and Marshall. Sweep it ladies.

Good assessment of the game Patton. It was a fun game to watch. This team can compete at a high level when they put their mind to it. They need to learn how to carry this type of play over to the road games. Good luck team in your upcoming road games! Congrats to RR on #300.

You're very kind. This team is very balanced from the inside and outside and has several scoring options. The other thing I like is that their hands are very active in the passing lanes. Thus, they get a lot of steals.

What bothers me is that they tend to fall in love with the 3-point shot too much, like at Tulsa where they were 3-for-25.

Man, what's your fascination with Hill? She's good, don't get me wrong, but you make it sound like she's going to take over the point ... and she's not, or at least not yet. Nice backup, but at this point, that's all. Besides, any discussion of ball-handling, breaking the press and pure speed (not to mention speed-created defensive pressure) has to start with Katy Cobb.

With that said, CONGRATULATIONS, COACH ROMPOLA!

For the sake of clarification, let me use the full quote since the previous poster took it out of context.

I'm going off potential and what she could be capable of doing if things fall right. I don't have a crystal ball. And I know her height is an issue. She's going to have to compensate for that. I never inferred Samuels job was in trouble. It shouldn't be.

This is the third time that people have become defensive on my comments on the women's bb team. I didn't realize they were a hands-off subject. :?

Thank you for your attention in this matter.

She had five fouls after just five minutes of playing time.
