I was shocked to see GW doing the SMU game last night.....that dude has made questionable calls and created controversy in the Dallas area for years. I had no idea he still officiated. He screwed us out of a district championship when I was in high school.

Ted Valentine, who worked the Tennessee-Vanderbilt game on Thursday night, is a complete jerk His ego is larger the arena he works in.

The refs made no difference at all last night. We were totally outclassed from the tip off.

I didn't read where anyone had blamed the outcome on the referees. It's pretty hard to pin a 28-point loss on the referees.

It was almost as much fun razzing Shorty Lawson as it was Abe Lemons.

It seemed like Shorty was there for every SMU game. He also reffed football if I remember correctly and put it to us in that sport as well. I think he actually ended up reffing a National Championship basketball game with another SWC ref.
