Two months ago this prediction would have seemed unreasonable. Now, I don't think it's too far of a stretch. We shouldn't get ahead of ourselves and expect too much too quickly, but it's funny how expectations can change in such a short amount of time.
Unless by some miracle they grasp the new system by August, I see them going 5-7, or around that area. Jones is a proven winner, but he's inherited a slower, weaker team than most teams in the conference. I am praying they finish like 8-4 or better but I see them not doing too bad. After this season, then it's on.
What is our schedule next year? I haven't seen it posted. Based on that I would imagine 4 - 8. Just thinking if we don't shore up the D that the problems we had last year could be lingering around. Like giving up 600 yards to NTSU for the one squeaker of a win last season.
For the love of god, lets not even think about that. Given Jones's strategy of repetition, hopefully this would include how to tackle, cause they guys definitely not practicing that last season.
I'm hoping for a good season...we should have a better feel after our spring game. We have more speed than we have used. I believe Henderson will be on the field more than just receiving kickoffs. I believe Robinson will be used as a wide receiver and he can fly plus, I have to believe at least one recruit will be a speedster. The defense was so young ...and they should grow in weight room and during spring training...I'll not guess now but might after the spring game. Go Mustangs!!!
The question isn't necessary who our front 7 are but who are their backups. Given the amount of time the D was on the field last season our guys just ran out of gas in the 4th quarter.
