Actually, its like the spend the first half feeling out the other team, probing, and then in the second half, they just roll at least offensively. Defensively, other teams seem to be making adjustments on them which they are not quite as quick to adjust to. But look at the first and second playoff games, offensively they just roll in the second half. And note that they ran out the last six minutes of the game yesterday and did not try and score in the last two minutes, or they would have covered the spread.

Having longevity does not make someone a great QB. He's always been a good QB who has just lasted forever and is a media darling. If he wasn't so camera-friendly he would not be rated so highly.

Oh, but let's not forget - playing a football game the day after your father dies makes you an all time great QB

Ha, that's hilarious. The man threw 4 touchdowns in the first half and had 399 passing yards. I'd say that's pretty good considering the circumstances.

He did excellent, but I don't remember the media sucking off the offensive lineman who was in the exact same situation a few weeks later. That's all I'm saying.

Why is that Favre's fault? Blame the media if you want, but holding that situation against Favre is ridiculous.

I've never heard anyone diss Favre. How can you not like him?

Giants peaked when they needed to (in the playoffs!!) - Cowpokes peaked mid-season..way to early.

What do the Mavs, Stars, and Cowboys have in common? What a JOKE>

when have offensive linemen ever been given credit. you got to be kidding dude. OL know they do a thankless job. thats how its been, how it is, and how it always will be. and i don't think they'd have it any other way. I mean, showing clips of great run and pass blocking (but not showing a great catch or throw that follows) would be SOOOO exciting...

So your argument is that it is OK to give a player more credit than they deserve simply because they play a media-friendly position?

The point is not that he gets TV time because he plays QB, the point is that he got MASSIVE coverage for something that isn't that amazing, such as playing after his father died. It wasn't that big of a deal. Much like his QB ability.

You'll probably take it off after the Giants get rolled by the Patriots in the Super Bowl like they did, what, three weeks or so ago? Maybe I can find a few Golden Girls reruns to watch that night on Channel 867. *yawn*

Getting "rolled"....I believe the winning margin was 3 points....

I guess your father is either (a) still alive or (b) a complete [deleted] that you hate and don't care about. I can say that after my father died, I didn't go to work for a week so that I could care for my family and make arrangements. Does that make Brett Favre the most amazing QB that every played in game? No. But some people think that speaks a lot about the guy considering how close he was to his father.

so is that why they have been losing in several of their last few games and why their margin of victory has gone down dramatically?

Makes sense to me. Less unneccessary points = higher efficiency.

I cannot support a team of American patriots. Giants are a far easier to support.
