prayers for Gary Hyatt
Some of you remember Gary Hyatt, he was in charge of football operations at SMU recently. He lost his four year old son in a sledding accident.

OMG â€" Coach Hyatt is one of the nicest people I've ever met. Would give anything to make it so this never happened â€" my thoughts go out to Coach Hyatt and his wife and son.
"What kind of weirdo school are they running over there in Fort Worth?"

Agreed, Gary is a great young guy. What a tragedy for their family.
As I recall, I think Gary's wife also worked at SMU.

We've come close...precious seconds they called it, and we know the terror of thinking "our child is gone"...of having the priest clasp our hands. We were fortunate; we got him back. Three tortuous hours of medical "have-to's", and it came down to precious seconds. I can imagine the anguish and pain that they are going through; I felt it just for a few minutes, and I never want to feel that way ever, ever again. Our son survived, and his older brother (about five years old himself at the time) withdrew and required outside intervention to bring him back. This kind of grief is insipid. Tragedy doesn't begin to describe it.
My heartfelt prayers go out to the Hyatts, especially the 8 year old brother. God watch him and keep him and protect him with a legion of angels, and let no evil come near him.

Gary is an awesome person and helped us a lot before my son committed.
Our prayers go out to him and his family. If you would like to send flowers, the funeral for young Henry Hyatt will be this Friday, January 25, 2008 at 2:00pm. The address for the services is :
