June was interviewed at SMU on Channel 5 at 6. May be on again at 10. There will be a special on him on Channel 5 sports Sunday night.
Most interesting thing that happened during the segment was June and another coach (do not know their faces yet) watching someone on video. June' comment was "how in the world is this guy still available. Offer him and get him in for a visit" Good stuff

GREAT STUFF! Love the fact that he is getting to sit high on the Hilltop and have so much mail coming his way. Probably helping out a ton in the late start in recruiting.

Forget the exact quote from JJ, but it was something to the effect that his assistant receives more CD's in a day than she used to receive in a month. Problem is weeding out the non-players, I imagine. but not a bad problem to have at this point.

doesn't surprise me a bit. winning cures all ills. June's proven himself a winner and people want to associate with that and be a part of it.
Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally

Ut oh - more rockstar wannabees? Why does SMU attract football players that want to be in bands?

A general way of thinking from college coaches is this and I quote from a guy I know who coaches D-1....."you worry about the guys that have to recruit you rather than you recruiting them." The flooding of tapes might help here or there but for the most part they become a nuisance. You never know though.

this ain't bad news but I'll be a lot happier when we don't have to look at tapes of recruits who don't know where they are going 10 days before the Dead Period starts. I bet looking through hundreds of tapes of players desperately looking for their first offer might actually be counterproductive at this point.

Probably. Depends on the tape and who it is from. Doubt they are looking at all the tapes, but maybe a handful that come recommended.
