A New Defensive hire...

Post by Dirty Bird »

UTEP defensive coordinator Tim Hundley is headed to SMU to be a defensive assistant, according to several sources. Coach Mike Price and UTEP sports information director Jeff Darby declined to comment, and SMU hasn't yet announced the hire, but according to sources close to both the UTEP and SMU programs, the announcement will be a formality and is coming in the next few days. The Miner defense finished 117th out of 119 Division I-A programs. UTEP gave up 34 or more points in its last eight games.

I really hope he is an assistant or position coach only. We need a proven defensive mind to lead our guys.
Those who complain about a problem are simply wasting time they could use to fix it.

Potential is nothing, performance is everything.
