I think Texas screwed up here. That is not the first time. The kid, surrounded with the kind of talent that goes to UT, might just be unstoppable.

You do realize he went to play for his father.

Yeah, didn't he make that change soon after his Dad was named HC at NTCC? Before the college season?
Either way, this isn't new news by any stretch.

Jerry Rice reportedly ran a 4.7 40 prior to the NFL draft.

Are you really trying to compare this kid to the greatest receiver of all time? I know he's a talented player, but come on.
Those who complain about a problem are simply wasting time they could use to fix it.
Potential is nothing, performance is everything.

I was just responding to StangEsq, no direct comparison made or intended.

Dodge's 4.67 time reported by Rivals is from that same Dallas Nike Combine last March talked about on another thread which was at an indoor facility where they set up the 40 where the finish line was about 15 feet from a wall. Thus, all the 40 times were slow.....according to the Sparq website from that combine, Cole Beasley had a 4.62....which shows you how slow the times were......Dodge is a legit 4.5 guy.
Stallion, during his soph year, Dodge started at slot receiver then would play QB every third series as Greg McElroy (Alabama), not Daniel, was the senior starter. Dodge was a freshman when Daniel was a senior.
And, the reason Dodge de-committed from Texas was because he went to their camp last June and the Texas coaches sent him to the WR drills, not the QB. Of course, they also determined three years ago that Chase Daniel was too short to play QB too.

Stallion, back to the original question, so why do you list Dodge as an athlete, not a QB?

Why are you directing this to me-its not my [ ] list. I love(mark) like him very much. I'm just explaining why recruiting services classify him as an Athlete-because different programs would recruit him at different positions(mark again)
