Charlie Berry had other priorities... Having the IQ does not always = dedication in the class room. Charlie is a good friend, and I can say that his "grades" were not a problem due to lack of intelligence... He is an amazing musician, and from the first day I met him (he had just graduated HS) all he talked about was traveling with his band when he graduated. If anyone can get a hold of one of his cd's they are very very good. he used to play a lot off of greenville after games and what not

Gamso is a tall, strong-armed kid. But there are a lot of those in area high schools now. The way the spread has taken over, more HS coaches are looking for the big, tall kid who can wing it rather than the best athlete.
The Hebron QB threw for more than 4,000 yards but I don't think he's getting much recruiting attention. Coppell had a big, strong QB but I think he's headed to SFA.
Gamso could make it at the next level, but he would need a lot of work. I don't think he's played much, even on JV. He's raw, but he does have an arm.

If you are playing Run and Shoot with 5 blockers and no TE that tall, gangly kid better have great mobility too-or it will look like well the Sugar Bowl

Can anyone say Dan Freiberger?
Willis will be our QB for awhile and then get moved to another position after the kid from Katy gets established.

My guess is they redshirt Mitchell this season, Willis starts the next 2 years, graduates, and Mitchell gets his shot at the starting job his sophomore year.

Isnt the Logan Turner kid kind of the same type of QB as Mitchell. I know he hasnt played but last season watching him warm up before games he looked to me to have the best arm of all the QB's,

I imagine that Willis will win out this year, and preserving Mitchell's redshirt will be a priority. But next year's starting QB will all depend on how well Willis takes to the new offense.

I don't want to get anyone in trouble here, but a reliable source told me that Turner was having a hard time with the mental aspects of learning the offense. Actually, I think the quote was "dumb as a sack of doorknobs"
