OT: The Engines did not make it. (NOT SMU)

Postby mrydel » Wed Jan 30, 2008 9:48 pm

Sorry to report that the Arkansas State new mascot will not be the Engines but will be the Wolves. It is still to be determined whether they will be "Red" Wolves, and whether or not they will be "friendly" or "fierce". I know that all on this board are eagerly anticipating the final decisions so I shall let you know when the details are determined.

That really is disappointing. I thought it was a great name. I would have absolutely bought some ASU Engines swag for my train-loving kids.

Wolves is just so friggin' traditional. It is High school

I think they could have kept the Teepee to store coal with the Engines. Don't know now.

If they are the "red wolves", they could stick it to the NCAA by having their mascot look like a red-skinned hairless wolf in a war bonnet, smoking a peace-pipe, and holding a hatchet, 'howling' "woo woo woo woo woo"

Oh dear.

Leave it to couch'em to just camp out over the line. Hey, buddy - you bring your tepee for your excursion? ;)

Upsetting. Injuns was a great name. Why can't we represent our red skinned friends with pride?

Wolves sounds like an inner city AAU basketball team

You can always keep up yourself on roadkill.com or vittles.net. (They both take you to the same site.)
