Texas vs. the Nation College All Star Game

Post by jimpoynter »

You all may be aware of this already but in case you are not Ben will represent SMU this Saturday in this game. Gene Stallings is the head coach for Team Texas and Buddy Ryan for the Nation. Ben will play left guard and perhaps some center and will have his SMU # (66). CSTV at 4:00pm CST (channel 610 if you have Direct TV). Kind of interesting he will play next to Adam Hill who was a four year starter at Louisiana-Monroe. Ben and Adam played side by side at Arlington Lamar. Think Fred Turner liked running behind them? :) For more information the link to the game is www.texasvsthenation.com

I was flying a small airline, Jet Express, this week, and their in flight magazine had an article on this game along with a photo from last year's game of one our guys on defense forcing a fumble. Nice.

You clearly don't pay attention to Cowboys games. If you did, you'd notice that Justin Rogers is actually playing as much as Bobby Carpenter since the only time both generally see the field is on Special Teams. In fact, if you check the stats, you'll see that both had 18 tackles in the regular season with Justin actually having more solo tackles(13 to 11). If you're going to spout crap, at least have some facts to go along with it.

Calm down old man.

He was just showing his favoritism for Rogers over lil ol Bobby Carpenter.

Assuming your son was only Mustang on last year's Texas roster, his photo is also on the game's website. :)

Great comments by Buddy Ryan at a COLLEGE All Star Game

At Halftime:
"Whoever that QB we put in at first was a God Damn Disaster"

At End of Game:

Responding to a question as to how his players played

"Well some of them played pretty good-some others ought to start looking for a new line of work"
