Right now it appears that both Southern Miss and UCF have a shot at having the top non-BCS conference recruiting classes in the country along with maybe BYU and Utah. I think Southern Miss when you add in the recruits today will be the top class if not by total points definitely by average points per recruit. It is good news-the perception of CUSA needs to be improved significantly.

I think Stallion's point is that CUSA is gaining some relevance vis-a-vis recruiting, and the implication is that SMU better get on the stick; that said, though, it also means that SMU becomes more attractive b/c the conference has potential for being tougher, and thus more likely for bigger bowls.

But I won't steal Stallion's thunder...I am sure he was getting around to saying that...

Well, since it has been pointed out, how weak CUSA recruiting has been, I took as a positive statemant from Stallion.

Wow Southern Miss has about 7 more 3 star plus players visiting this weekend including a 5 star WR, a 4 star, two 5.7 kids and another 5.6 rated kid.

Southern Miss continues to blow the competition away-just got another 4 star and presently have:

20 Commitments
2 Four Stars
12 Three Stars

UCF

11 Three Stars

Southern Miss' class is one of the few Top 50 non-BCS Classes in a long time. Before the lines between BCS/non-BCS became so drawn I think TCU may have had some better classes but this is probably the best in a long time. I don't think they are close to through yet.

in about 2 minutes Southern Miss is supposed to find out if a 5 star WR chose LSU or Southern Miss. Can't remember the last time a 5 star committed to CUSA or even a conference SMU was in straight out of high school.

I think it is great. The next few years are going to be a lot of fun.
