There's a lot of IFs at the DE position, but there's also potential.

IF we get Adrian Dizer back to full health and IF Patrick Handy and Youri Yenga and Jordan Johnson continue to improve and IF Josh Robinson proves to be the athlete a couple of his teammates said he was last year - and now you add this guy and Taylor Thompson ... it's got a whole different feel from last year, don't you think?

I think we'll be alright at this position-more so in 2009. Most of these guys have the physical ability to play at this level. Interesting to see if Yenga stays at DE and if he does whether he can significantly increase his size while retaining his quickness. Jordan Johnson is gonna be a player I'm pretty sure. And I have high hopes for Robinson too. Dizer has the tools-not sure he has the strength but I am intriqued to watch all these kids during the spring. Once Thompson gets to be about 245 he will be a force too. Could help next year on passing downs although I really hope he redshirts. I see him eventually as a 6-7, 290 pound DLM-and its going to take awhile to get there. I'd like to see Andrew McKinney here too-I don't think its very likely that a TE picks up the nuances of a MLB during one remaining season even if he were to significantly lose weight.

I would think Yenga and Smart are both LB's during the spring.

Dizer has had a back problem, that's why he wasn't suited out last season. He told me a month ago, that he was going to give it a try in the spring.....keep your fingers crossed.
