They're gonna rip us bad. Memphis is on a mission this year. And they are just not taking any prisoners.

We will lose by at least thirty points. We cannot stop their run 'n' gun offense and we haven't stopped a team shooting threes all year. I could see them shooting well over 50% from three point land.

I don't think it's ridiculous at all to say that we should be favored over Memphis.

I think the fact that we almost beat them last year does not bode well. They will definitely be reminded of that game and probably be up around 40 at halftime.

Oh well, it never hurts to play #1. Have to learn how to play against them if you want to be in that position one day.

I think Purdue must have been the last one.

Yea, Purdue was the last time. Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't that Mike Dement's last season where he beat 2 ranked teams (the other one was Texas Tech) and got fired?

I think SMU could give them a good ballgame if they "shoot the ball," make their "free throws" and limit the "turnovers" to the single digit. If not, they'll get BLOWN OUT!

You are correct there- '03-'04 season. We also played ranked Wake Forest tough at home that season, although we ended up losing by 10ish. I remember that game well as I was on the courtside couch for that one. We only ended up winning 12-13 games that year (which was very dissappoiting) and some of the players quit on Dement.

I know there are differing opinions on the board but I really feel like that was a solid roster with B-Hop, Castro, Simpson, Isham, Lowe. Plus it was obvious Pearson had some talent and that Rack had size both as frosh that year. Wish we could have done more with that group that season and the next.

We lose by 20 points.
Memphis goes way up and then puts in the 2nd team with about 10 minutes left to rest the starters and get the other guys some pre tournament PT.
