How many of theses guys are commitments from Bennett? We obviously all know the Dews story...I just didn't know which of these guys (if any) were Bennett commitments, or if JJ revoked all of Bennett's offers.
Let me explain something to you. I am not "Mr. Lebowski". You're Mr. Lebowski. I'm the Dude. So that's what you call me.

If the recruits on our list here turn out to be legit, then even by Rivals ratings, this years crop is better than last years.

We have 4 3* guys (Parker, Thompson, McElroy and Odiari), and more of the upper end 2* guys. Granted Odiari is a transfer, but that's even bigger news for us given the "model" debate.

While I'm not saying that this is the BEST CLASS EVAR!!!!1111!!, I don't think it's any worse than last years. Though from a D1 perspective, that's not saying much.

Jones is going to get more out of these guys and the guys we have than PB did. It's on.

I could line up a Class of 25 kids without D1A offers. The reality is that on paper this is the weakest recruiting class in years. Now if you want to claim its the best that could be expected that's a different issue. Probably some legitimacy to that argument. But seriously, claiming how neato our recruiting class is when we are out recruiting Robert Morris, Alcorn St. -did we get the guy who was considering Stony Brook. Cold hard fact-is about half our guys had no legitimate D1A offers 2 weeks ago.

This class on paper, per Rivals, looks to be better than last years. both classes had 4 3-star prospects but the '07 class had 8 of 23 guys which were rated 5.0 or 5.1. The '08 class has only 4 of 25 players rated below a 5.2. Seems like an upgrade to me, basing things strictly from Rivals.

Also, I will agree with you that considering that JJ had next to zero time to throw this together, it is very much so the best that could be expected. Truth be told, its better than could have been expected with 3 weeks to recruit and coming off a 1-11 season.

What I found really encouraging was that in 3 weeks Jones was able to put together a class that was at least comparable to all but one post-DP class (and that 10 3-star class was, in retrospect, no better than the rest).
