relax... 18 year old trying to make a decision that will determine the next 4 to 5 years of his life... probably the biggest decision he has faced up to this point. and unlike our recruits, this is more of a business decision for him. why not wait a few days? see how the dust settles and see if any schools pick up some big names today?! And it's not like the NFL where he is holding out and missing practice...

This guy seems to be a selfish player and person . . I think Couch em hit the nail on the head . . . "attention _____"!
![]() Sports, and all that implies.
Its commonly known that his handlers are waiting on the best incentive package. Its not just about school, its about perks for his people
“When I first committed to SMU, I thought it would take a couple of years of building. But with these players coming in, we should make a run. We have a lot of heavy hitters. It could get real ugly for a lot of teams we play.â€- Jalen Jones
I'm sure the fans of Michigan and Ohio State are thrilled that he can't decide between the two of them. Fans share some of the blame for this because we get so worked up over the recruiting class each year. A press conference for signing day on ESPN? How about ESPN broadcasting the spring games instead...that would be a little more revealing. This kid is on the scroll bar of SportsCenter right now.
Without knowing everything about the situation it does appear to be attention whoreing. Factor in some other background information and it paints a slightly different picture. They are reporting it here that Penn State came on at the last minute with Joe Pa making an in house visit to this guy's house. The way things have being going with recruiting in this BCS era, most recruiting and offers come during a players junior year.
Penn State wasn't even recruiting the guy last year. Also reported that this kid's father is confined to a wheel chair, making it difficult to attend games too far from home. They live in Pennsylvania and the kid's father has a fondness for Joe Pa. Factor in all this info and the kid probably would have chose Penn State had they been on him from the get go. They entered the picture at the last minute, so hence the delay in the decision. The guy who runs Rivals was on a local sports radio show discussing recruiting and this story came up. The Rivals guy laid out the whole recruiting process. Since most of the stations are owned by Clear Channel, you'll probably hear him on your local station in Texas.
If Reggie Bush can get:
-$595.20 airfare for his family -$250.65 for transportation/board at the Ritz-Carlton in San Francisco -Suits/Makeover for his family for his Heisman ceremony -$1,500 weekly payments to his family -$623.63 for a hotel stay at the Venetian Resort -$1,574.86 for a stay at the Manchester Hyatt in San Diego -$13,000 to Bush from New Era -$54,000 plus rent-free living for a year in a $757,500 home -$28,000 family debt-assistance -Thousands in spending money Isn't there any UM or Ohio St alumnus/a willing to "pony up" for Pryor and offer to give his family rides on their private plane ("Heck, I like you and you're on my way"), bus them to games "under the table" or heck just buy his dad new legs? Surely something has been provided to address this family concern...
Meanwhile same soap opera is developing with a Colorado/UT tug-of-war for one of the Top RBs in the Country. From years of watching these recruiting wars UT never gets last minute super star recruits-they always lose these gguys. If you think there are underhanded deals in college football this is persuasive evidence that UT ain't doing the paying.
please pryor, go to Michigan!

they just showed his press conference on College Football live:
-took his team to the state championship -jumped right into basketball, where they are making a run at state -felt he hasnt had enough time to think about it -wanted to make sure he gave each school the proper look that they deserved -felt that all of the schools, coaches, staff (boosters) have invested a lot of time in him and wanted to make sure he gave every school a fair chance after reading over everything they prepared for him -he also said that Oregon is Still in the mix -said he had made a decision last night, but his dad convinced him to reconsider his options... WEST DIVISION CHAMPS 2010
Why hold an absurd press conference if you're not going to announce a decision. I've watched enough of this to know this isn't about the decision being tough for the kid. This is about being a total gloryhound. This is Ryan Perrilloux all over again. Kid should learn a little humility. BTW, bad for Texas it lost that RB. Probably, that staff needs to re-define how it goes about its work between August and February.
