Rivals article indicates that he decommitted from North Texas as was stated in the title and that he visited all schools that offered him except SMU. No mention that he ever committed to SMU in the article.

I watched every game this year and he is a marginal D1 player. He is a hard hitter but has little coverage skills (Roy Williams??). It is not like we just missed on Frank Okam here.

everytime I read a recruiting synopsis by EVERY team I'm convinced that you can make any class look like the Four Horseman of the Apocolypse. That's why I think its better to focus on offers and projecting talent to the next level. But it really is a nice class by NTSU and they were extremely successful in identifying specific area for immediate JUCO help.

You're right...because I started a thread about a kid who in no way, shape or form was thinking about SMU the second he "decommitted" from North Texas. Oh wait, no I didn't.

Deep breath. Reading the thread you'll find that most of us never recalled a committment/official visit from Shorter and generally agreed that he turned down any offer SMU had made in the past. There was one "maybe..." but I think that hardly counts as a threat. Most of the comments were name-puns and innuendo anyway. As for the fact that he seemingly never wavered in his committment, please refer challenging snarky defensiveness to Rivals.com.

Probably because, despite some of your brethrens most sincere protestations, it's hard to ignore a school that is 40 miles to your north and has a direct influence on your image in the the DFW sports landscape.
Same reason I take the time to keep up with what happens over here. Not an obsession on either end by any means, just being a nosy neighbor.

Much the same way as there can be no Heaven without a Hell.

Leave it open to the indivdual to decide which is which! I like it!
Sports, and all that implies.

No, really, it isn't. Our interest in NTSU stopped when we got you blackballed to the Shunnedbelt.
